3. Visiting the website

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open the site, your browser automatically transmits technical data to the hosting server: IP address, date and time of the request, the requested file, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure. It is not merged with other data.

Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. Vercel processes the data on our behalf. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Server log files are deleted by the host after a short period.

4. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tools. Fonts, images, 3D models and sounds are delivered from our own server. No data is sent to third parties when you view or interact with the book.

5. Newsletter

If you enter your email address in the sign-up form, we will inform you by email about tickets and news for Becoming the Joker. The only required information is your email address.

Double opt-in

After signing up you receive an email asking you to confirm. You are only added to the list once you click the confirmation link. We store the time of sign-up and confirmation and the IP address used, so that we can prove your consent.

Service provider

Newsletters are sent via Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 17 rue Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France). Your email address and the data mentioned above are stored by Brevo. Brevo processes the data on our behalf based on a data processing agreement. Brevo can record whether a newsletter was opened and which links were clicked. We use this only in aggregated form to improve our emails.

Legal basis and withdrawal

Legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by email to the address above. Processing that took place before the withdrawal remains lawful. After you unsubscribe, your email address is deleted from the list. We may keep it on a blocklist to make sure you do not receive further emails.

6. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once your request has been dealt with, unless legal retention periods apply.
